Design Trust for Public Space

The Design Trust for Public Space is a nationally recognized incubator that catalyzes change and transforms New York City’s shared civic spaces—streets, plazas, parks, public buildings, and transportation—to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable city. The Design Trust’s model utilizes cross-sector partnerships to deliver creative solutions to reimagining our public spaces.

The Design Trust’s latest RFP, The Restorative City, looks at how the built environment can be used as a tool to advance health equity and asks:

• How can neighborhood design improve mental health?
• How can our streets and sidewalks help our communities thrive?
• How can we reduce the environmental injustices affecting marginalized communities?
