Riders Alliance
The Riders Alliance fights for reliable, affordable, world-class public transit to build a more just and sustainable New York. The next mayor should:
- Prioritize transit in public space by creating 30 miles of bus lanes and busways annually and scaling up physical barriers and camera enforcement to keep cars out of bus lanes
- Scrap parking policies that encourage driving, generating traffic that slows down buses, by abolishing parking minimums and capping the number of new off-street parking spaces, converting more of our three million free parking spaces to better uses, and eliminating placards for City workers’ private cars.
