New Yorkers for Parks champions quality equitable open space for all New Yorkers. The next administration must treat parks as critical infrastructure by:

• Creating a Director of the Public Realm to prioritize equitable park access
• Directing 1% of the city budget to park maintenance and operations
• Building new parks and playgrounds in under-resourced communities (1 in 3 New Yorkers lacks access to open space)
• Fixing the parks capital process
• Empowering communities so they can support our parks
