Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development (ANHD) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to build community power to win affordable housing and thriving, equitable neighborhoods for all New Yorkers. Land use justice is key to creating thriving communities, as it ensures that all residents are reshaping the various areas of our neighborhoods. In order to move towards land use justice, the next administration should focus on:

• Comprehensive planning to ensure equitable development and investment citywide
• Making space for manufacturing to ensure good, accessible jobs
• Use public sites to meet public benefit goals that are harder to accomplish on private land
